Finally Fall

I was completely elated when I woke up Saturday and it was overcast, rain would soon be upon us. Fall is finally here and I couldn't be happier.

Estaba completamente eufórica cuando me desperté el sábado y estaba nublado, lluvia pronto estará sobre nosotros. Otoño ya está aquí y yo no podría estar más feliz.

Tiffany Atlas Party with Aimee Song

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Tiffany Atlas Collection Debut in San Francisco, thanks to Refinery 29 . It was an all around fantastic event, even if I had to rush there after work and drive an hour and a half.  The highlight of the night was meeting Aimee Song, I 've always loved her style but now that I had the chance to meet in her in person I have a new found respect for her, she is so humble and sweet it’s inspiring. She really was just a warm person , I wanted to get to know her a little better so I asked her three questions (huge line behind me)to give me an insight, read them below.

1.       If you had to wear one designer for the rest of your life who would it be? Isabel Marant for clothes and Giuseppe Zanotti for shoes.
2.       What is your favorite drink (I think drink choices say a lot about a person)? Diet coke, she does not drink alcohol.
3.       What advice would she give a starting blogger? Do it because you love and not to make money, if you love it money will come , like with anything else.

Thanks to my sisters for coming with me!

Modern Greek Goddess

Every once in a blue moon I walk into Forever 21,Its three stories and the intermingled trends make me dizzy. However, every once in a while I find something that I love and looks expensive (you know what I mean). I happened to find this gorgeous creamy white beaded dress a few weeks ago. I immediately pictured a Modern Greek Goddess., that’s exactly how I felt when I wore it on Friday. I paired it with a leather jacket to give it an unexpected texture mix and I think it worked, what do you think?

P.s
I picked up this faux leather jacket at TJ Maxx  last fall, great find wouldn't ya say?

3.1 Phillip Lim

3.1 Phillip Lim

Okay, so I must admit I totally jumped on the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Collection and I'm feeling kind of guilty now. I had only planned on picking up the Mini Satchel #6. but once I was  there I ended up with more that I bargained for... oops. I think I'm returning#5 the sweater being that I don't think I'll wear it much and maybe #4.the Men's Travel bag , I love it but I need to be realistic about how often I'll use it. Items #1. and #2. are in the mail so I don't know how much I'll love them once I see them. The animal print dress #3 I really like, I thought I wouldn't but once I saw it in and tried it on I loved it for work and I think I'll get good use out of it. Did anyone pick anything up from this limited edition collection?

I hope I don't see it on clearance in a few weeks like with some of the previous Target collabs.

Guess The Designer & The Deal

I was in awe when I opened the September issue of InStyle and laid my eyes on these Joe's  pointy pumps with the wraparound ankle strap. I kept seeing the shoes everywhere and thinking about them. I finally convinced myself that they were an “investment” and I purchased them for $120 (with a 15% discount). I usually don’t spend that much on shoes unless I’m in love, in which I was of course with this pair. I ordered them and happily shared the news with my closest friends and explained how I really deserved them. Last saturday I was doing my usual 7am Pinterest sweep when I noticed an outfit featuring them, I immediately clicked and was shocked when the blogger mentioned she purchased them on JustFab. I hurried and opened  a new tab because there was no way. When i found them I couldn't believe how similar they were to the Joe's pair and the most shocking fact was the $20 price tag(new member) yes thats right. I ordered them so that I could compare and when they arrived I was so happy to see they were just as  gorgeous as the expensive pair, to be honest they fit me better because I have wide feet.

So can you guess which pair is which?
Answer:
A. Joe's Laney $135
B. JustFab Ambrosia $39.95
